The Gardens & Grounds here at MHT are kept up by volunteers. Mission Statement: MHT Gardening Ministry striving to keep our church grounds worthy of the church they surround. All for the glory of God. The types of jobs that need to be done are cultivating (planting, mulching, fertilizing, watering); curating (weeding, trash removal, fountain filling); cutting (hedge trimming, lawn mowing, branch thinning). If you love gardening and being outdoors please join us in keeping the grounds beautiful!

he St. Martha Cleaning Guild is a ministry that serves the parish by cleaning the church building, sanctuary, narthex and sacristy weekly. There are two opportunities to clean that will best accommodate our volunteers.
Every Wednesday after the 12:15 Mass, around 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
First Saturday of the month from 7:00- 9:00 a.m. (this is tentative depending on volunteers, so please check the Jump app prior to coming)

Elysium's Gate Ministry
A miscarriage ministry to support mothers, provide a space in daily Mass for funerals of our smallest babies, and eventually a parish burial spot for our miscarried babies. All God's children, even the smallest and whose life most short, are fearfully and wonderfully made. And all mothers are deserving and in need of support in times of pregnancy loss.

Bereavement Ministry at Most Holy Trinity supports those who are grieving the death of a loved one. You can be involved in this ministry by: being present at the Vigil Service, the Funeral Liturgy, or the Burial Service. We offer comfort and support to the family and friends after the loss of a loved one by providing a luncheon following the funeral. We are always needing volunteers to bring a dish or setup and serve the meal in the parish hall. Please pray for our grieving families and for the repose of the souls of their loved ones.

The Adopt-A-Priest Program is designed to support and show love and appreciation for our priests in the Augusta Deanery. The basic structure of this program includes providing meals for your assigned priest, celebrating special dates within their life, and including them in your prayers.

We have many elderly or homebound parishioners who would like to attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass each weekend, but who are not able to drive. Consider driving one of these souls to Mass!

Looking for a rewarding way to spend a few hours after Mass on Sunday morning? MHT is responsible for visiting and bringing Holy Communion to patients at downtown hospitals and nursing homes as well as our homebound parishioners. We are looking for volunteers to bring Holy Communion to our homebound parishioners, hospital and nursing home patients, or both. Come see and share the joy that Holy Communion brings to our fellow Catholics who are hospitalized or homebound. Training will be provided.

Want to help couples prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage? Over the course of a Friday night and Saturday in October, the following topics are covered with engaged couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage: Communications, Sacrament of Marriage, Conflict Management and Resolution, Natural Family Planning, Sexuality and Intimacy in Marriage, Pornography, and Finances. Married couples and Father Jake talk and share their life experiences with engaged couples to help them prepare for their Marriage. We are in need of volunteers. Please pray and consider volunteering some of your time for this Ministry.

John F. Kennedy Knights of Columbus Council 5484 & Assembly 180
If you are a male by birth, 18 years and older, and a practicing Catholic in union with the Holy See, come make a difference. Founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney and his group of parishioners. Their intent is to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled, and needy members and their families. Council 5484, the first integrated Council in the state of Georgia, was formed on December 7, 1963. Assembly 180 was formed in 1964. Both the Council and Assembly were named in honor of the United States of America’s, first Roman Catholic President, John F. Kennedy. Come add to the history of Council 5484 and Assembly 180 and be a part of largest Catholic fraternal organization in the world. Become a Knight today! The MHT Homeless Ministry Outreach is off to a great start due to your generosity. We are continuing to collaborate with the Salvation Army Center of Hope, Catholic Social Services, and Katherine’s Way for distribution of Blessing Bags. However, if you are comfortable distributing bags on your own and would like to take a few to have in your car please contact Ruth C., Nancy A., or Deacon Keith after Mass.
There is a great need in our community so we will continue to collect items below and assemble bags each month. You can drop off your donations in the container in the back of the church near the statue of Saint Martin de Porres.

The Soup Kitchen is located at 842 Fenwick St. Our parish is asked to help serve lunch to 250 less fortunate people on the third Friday of each month. Volunteers are always needed.

Catholic Social Services (CSS) offers emergency assistance to the homeless and those threatened with homelessness, and to individuals and families in need. Volunteer opportunities abound and include general office work, answering phones, case management (training is provided), working in the Food Pantry, listening to problems, and working to “find volunteer work that is comfortable for you.”

Catholic Social Services Thrift Store was founded in 1990 as a monthly yard sale of donated household and clothing items. After more than thirty-years, the Thrift Store has become one of Augusta’s most frequented shops — offering everything from gently-used clothing to toys, household goods, furniture, jewelry, collectables, books, and more at reasonable prices. Proceeds from the Thrift Store help support Catholic Social Services of Augusta, a Diocese of Savannah-sponsored ministry that provides emergency assistance to poor, homeless, and at-risk individuals and families in the CSRA and surrounding areas. All donations are tax deductible.
